Labor Day Weekend - Medicating The Cat.

I'm off to the old homestead to take care of Mom's cats. One has kidney failure, requiring ringers lactate once a day, the other has cancer of the jaw.
Thrilling.
But the chance to go home and lounge in the house of my childhood makes me feel quite contented. Yes, I'll be working on guitars as usual, slopping on the grain filler and sanding like a mad woman. Still, the opportunity to cook in Mom's old kitchen and sit in front of her air-waves only TV on the couch in the den give me waves of comfort.

The ringers lactate treatment makes me a little antsy, but I'm sure I'll be able to do it - after all, it's only for a couple of nights. I'll also get to sleep with my own cats, who have not had me aroundmore than a few hours a day. Zap will be extatic to get his nightly scratching! Tribs will be bananas over being able to be free of his confinment and running around the neighborhood all day long. Kai will be making trouble, meowing incessantly and sleeping in the hallway.

I'm seeking a job - anyone know of something readily available on the Internet, not requiring hours and hours of posting, not requiring clicking on advertisements, and not needing some sort of a fee? You all know I love to type - writing is a pleasure for me. Oh, news: About.com wrote me back and said that they'd already filled their SciFi writer's position. Boo! I'm going to apply again. Suckers...they're not rid of me yet!

Anyway, I'm hoping everyone will have a delightful weekend no matter where they are and what they're doing.
Take care,
PL.
